Paxton Smith is an elite American distance runner from Denver, Colorado. Smith graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a masters degree in Education Policy.

While attending the University of Colorado, Smith was a member of the historic cross country and track team. He was a major contributor on two Pac-12 championship teams, two NCAA podium teams, and was a NCAA qualifier in the 10 KM.

After graduating from CU, Smith moved to Miami to become a middle school English teacher in underserved communities while pursuing a professional running career. Smith has run 2:17 for the marathon, which qualified him for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials. Smith has also competed in several U.S. Championships across distances such as 15km, 20km, and 25km.
